Gran Turismo 7 update 1.59 is here, and it's bringing four new cars from very different corners of the automotive world. Now, while it's always great to get new content, I have to admit, sometimes the car selections aren’t exactly what the community expects or hopes for. Still, they’re a fun addition, and I’m excited to show you what’s new.
New Cars
First up, we have the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C5) '01 — a classic from the early 2000s.
Alongside it is the Ferrari 812 Superfast '17, a modern beast with stunning performance. It’s a great mix of old-school muscle and contemporary power.
Next, we’ve got something a bit unexpected — the Honda CR-V e:HEV EX・Black Edition '21. Yes, it’s an SUV, and yes, it might seem out of place, but with the right engine swaps, it could turn into a real sleeper… or at least inspire some hilarious builds and memes.
And finally, the Suzuki Carry KC '12 — a tiny kei truck with huge meme potential. With a proper engine swap, this little guy could surprise a lot of people.
New Events
Along with the new cars, we've got some new World Circuit events:
• Lightweight K-Cup – Eiger Nordwand
• American Clubman Cup 700 – Autódromo de Interlagos
• Ferrari Circuit Challenge – Deep Forest Raceway
New GT Sophy Event
Gran Turismo Sophy, the next-gen racing AI, is now available on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix Layout. If you haven’t raced Sophy yet, now’s a great time to try it out.
New Scapes
We’re also getting a new featured curation in Scapes: "Shooting the Perfect Square" a great chance to get creative with your in-game photography.
Don’t forget to check out the latest time trial, which features one of the new cars. It’s a great way to test out their performance.
So what do you think of this update? Are you happy with the new content, or were you hoping for something else?
