GT7 following real life events again maybe? DTM is starting this week at Red Bull Ring. They did similar for Bathurst as well

I don't know why, but PD is obsessed with Red Bull Ring and Lago Maggiore. Needless to say that neither of the two is my favorite track.
RBR again.. awh well! There's worse tracks to Threepeat in 3 months. Looking forward to this week :)
A Solid wreckfest in dr A. Did 6 races today and got killed at least once in every Race. Needless to say that the Penalty Ring appears way to often...
If you want to Ruin your sr Go for it. I probably wont come Back to daily c this week
Garbage race . SOFT's YER RIGHT! Set the time of day and track temperature to 5deg nice! Might as well be on hards. The meta is killing this game. It's meta or loose it's sickening. I'm so close to giving up on this fake game with fake cars that are made better than the actual real GT3 and GT4 cars and fake over inflated "skill" because everyone picks the car with the best top speed and thinks that there fast. The cars need balancing if they can't do it, they need to just give them all the same acceleration and top speed. Or better yet just give up completely on Gr3. GR4. And Gr1 and just make each daily a one make race, it's basically what they are. Do it and see just how many people will actually play this game. The illusion of choice or trying to beat the dominant car is the only thing this game keeps people hooked on. And don't even get me started on the penalty system the disproportionate DR losses vs possible gains because of bad matchmaking or the servers being rubbish and running at 30 and 60 tik rates instead of the standard 120 minimum that racing games require. Rant over bad race. Over used garbage.

A lot does need to be changed. but unless they strip the game down and rebuild it. It will not happen. This is bigger than just a patch. This should hopefully be the brief for GT8.. Fingers crossed!!

I bet my house gt8 will have the same sport mode structure with the same issue with the same cars, I know kaz
When they fixed the penalty system for Red Bull , Road Atlanta things will be better. There is people play the game for a long time and they know exactly how the game react . Its a shame for PD that dont cancel there laps . They need to check in certain cases the top5 times , if they exceed limits there lap time will be cancel. And the best thing is that they dont even post there Replay 😅🤣
It really doesn’t need a ground up rebuild. The BoP system in GT7 is a spreadsheet. It’s power percentage and weight percentage per car, split across three track speed categories that already exist in the game. Changing those numbers is a server side adjustment that doesn’t even require a game update, PD has pushed BoP changes through standard maintenance windows multiple times without patching anything.
The issue isn’t the architecture of the game, it’s the methodology behind the numbers. And that’s where it gets interesting because with current advances in AI and machine learning this is almost trivially solvable. PD already collects every qualifying lap time and race lap time from every Sport Mode session globally. Feed that data into a model that identifies per-car performance outliers at each track and condition set, have it recommend power and weight adjustments that bring the spread within a target window, validate the output against a few hundred simulated laps, push the updated numbers server side. You could run that process weekly and have it self-correcting in real time as the season progresses. No rebuild. No new game. No patch. Just smarter use of data they already have with tools that already exist.
The cars don’t need to change. The tracks don’t need to change. The DR system doesn’t need to change. The single biggest improvement PD could make to the competitive integrity of Sport Mode is literally updating a table of numbers more intelligently. If that sounds too simple to be true, consider that this entire discussion, every piece of analysis, every BoP comparison, every breakdown of how car architecture interacts with track conditions and tyre models, was produced by an AI in a single conversation with one player who was frustrated enough to ask the right questions. If an AI can diagnose the problem and outline the solution in an afternoon, PD can implement it with the resources of a first party Sony studio. They just have to want to. P.s this entire post was brought to you by an AI. I had it write the whole thing.
