Week 21 Daily B: Nürburgring GR.3

Why reverse 🤮 ?? We had it recently as well. Would have been the perfect time for the 24h layout

Agree, just as they had the 24h on at the weekend, should have done that track layout.  i notice the fastest time this week is 3 seconds faster than 2nd place and  15 seconds faster than 10th place.. i sense some exploit going on

This race rappresent sport mode, official sponsor of the 24h of the ring, posts on Instagram about cars that are not in the game, one lap race in reverse, they smoking good stuff in pd

Why the hell do they *always* run this track in reverse with GT3 cars? Especially right now—after the 24-hour race—I want to drive the track in the normal direction! I was genuinely thrilled when I saw the race listed in the menu, but then I was bitterly disappointed when I realized that, once again, it’s only available in reverse.

They put that track there because it will be the track for the Milan event this weekend.

I f you want to drive the track the right way just wait a couple of weeks for the final manufacturers cup race... Arguably way better than a daily B as there is proper strategy and is very long (5laps)

They chose this layout to represent the GTWS event in Milan. It is a nice challenge in my opinion last time I did it. If you do not like it, do daily A or C, and if you want to drive the Nordshliefe the right way round, just do the manufacturers cup rd6. There is nothing to complain about :)

Wait this Nurburgring is in reverse again. I saw it this morning I had zero clue it was in reverse. I would of appreciated the track in the normal flow because we just watched the Nurburgring 24hr with Max Verstappen. The entire world wanted to sim race in the normal track this week not in reverse.

This week's Nürburgring reverse event is actually a perfect real-time example of something I've been thinking about regarding how we calculate average delta.

Look at the leaderboard gap: to make gold, you’d need to rank somewhere around #150.  More than half the entries haven’t even earned bronze. This isn't a skill gap — it's an unfamiliarity gap. Most of us simply haven't trained our brains for this layout yet and our deltas are going to reflect that unfairly. 

This is exactly the kind of event that permanently damages a combined average delta that's supposed to represent our actual pace.  

I posted a proposal in the main forum that I think addresses this directly. Would love your thoughts on it, especially after a week like this one! 🏁

That is a fair point. I think there are two reasons they chose this layout though. First of all to mimic the GTWS manufacturers cup race that the pros are doing in Milan, and it said this in the news on the main screen when you load up the game. This has happened before (I remember a daily B at Road Atlanta). Also, they usually avoid the tracks that they are using for manufacturers and nations cup races in the daily races during that period. I don't know why, but that probably had an effect on their decision.

I personally feel that this track is very good for improving skill as it is so demanding, however I do understand how a lot of people don't like it. Apart from this daily race however, we have daily A and C, 3 very challenging time trials and a manufacturers cup race to practice for and do this week. And to add to that, for the people missing the original layout, there is a manufacturers race on that layout next saturday... Personally I feel that you end up playing a track a lot more if it's for a manufacturers or nations cup race than for a basic daily B like this week (I would much rather my favourite track be a manufacturers cup race than a daily B, because daily B is so basic...)
