Could anyone explain to me why as my qualification time gets better, I tend to get stuck further back on the start? This week on Daily B I had a 1:19:8 and was generally starting 4-9. I re-qualified to 1:19:2 and now am almost always 12th or back.

I'm still new to playing this game, but I am wondering if it has something to do with a significant DR change. I've noticed that when I drop a ton of DR I end up positioned higher in the starting field and if I've gained a sizable amount of DR, I find myself positioned further back in the starting field (without a change to my qualifying time).
I'm under the impression PD matches us with other players who have a similar amount of DR/SR and then as a secondary tool uses the qualifying time to position you within the grid, so if you increase your DR, but also improve your qualifying time, you'll be placed with higher-DR drivers (who also probably have faster qualifying times) thus you end up further down the grid despite your better time.
